Answers to some of the most common questions...
What is included in each kit?
The hardware includes:
1 Camera
6 Batteries (1 per day)
6 MicroSD cards (1 per day)
3 Mounting Hardware Options
1 Wall Charger
The kit is designed to be as simple as possible for you to use in a variety of situations.
How do I set up the camera correctly at my event?
Your kit comes with a printed guide to help you with setup. If this isn't clear enough, there is a video that will walk you through the setup of each of the items in your kit.
If you still find yourself needing help... Please email support@wildview.ai or call the phone number provided in your kit.
Why do I need to switch out the storage each day?
There are several reasons for this. Organization, Security, and Data Processing.
What is the ideal angle to setup the camera?
Mount the camera slightly above average eye level to ensure it captures people even when others are standing in front of them. For best results and accurate heat mapping, angle the camera downward between 30° and 70° — avoid pointing it straight down.
What are appropriate lighting scenarios?
Our cameras automatically adapt to most lighting conditions. However, in very low-light environments — such as outdoor settings at night — the system may not capture enough detail for accurate processing. For best results, ensure recordings are done in daylight outdoors or in well-lit indoor environments.
Can I use the camera behind glass or plastic barriers?
As long as the camera lens isn’t obstructed by glare or reflections, the system will perform accurately.
How long does the camera battery last?
Each battery included in your kit has been tested to ensure it lasts at least 12 hours. This means that for each day of recording you should switch out your battery for a new one to ensure full day recording on subsequent days.
Can I use external power instead of batteries?
If your camera is setup in an area that you have power, this is the preferred method of operating your kit. A power block has been included with your kit for this. The batteries are for users who cannot place their camera near a power source.
Do I need internet access at the event for the system to work?
This service is designed to function without the need for an internet connection. All footage is processed separately as a service after the event.
Daily Operation
Do I need to do anything each day during a multi-day event?
Your kit requires minimal daily maintenance and you must replace the SD card each morning. If you're using batteries, be sure to replace them each day as well. This not only helps prevent data loss, but also keeps your footage organized by day for faster, more reliable processing.
How much footage can each SD card store?
Each SD card can hold up to 24 hours of footage.
How do I confirm the camera is recording properly?
You can trust that the camera system is recording properly, even if you don’t see any visual indicators. We’ve turned the camera lights off during recording to eliminate distractions and maintain a seamless experience at your event. The system is designed for reliability, so you can focus on your activation while we handle the data.
What should I do if the camera stops recording mid-day?
If recording stops, the camera has likely lost power. Restore the power source—either by reconnecting wall power or reattaching the battery—then press Record to resume. Our team will flag any gaps during post‑processing.
